My Favorite Things Sketchy Flowers Card Kit Release

Hello and welcome! For the past two days we've been sharing cards created with products from the newest MFT card kit called Sketchy Flowers and it is officially available now in the MFT online store!

This months kit has 2 stamp sets, 2 die sets and a colourful assortment of card stock and envelopes! I love how well all of the different elements in the kit work together. For my card tonight, I used the bright green Limelight card stock from the kit as the main panel on my card front with some simple diecutting and stamping.

I diecut the Limelight panel with the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics and then diecut the word 'you' from the center panel. Once I had the word diecut, I stamped an assortment of leaves on the panel with Versamark ink and then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

I backed the diecut 'you' with white card stock and then I adhered the entire panel to a Tropical Teal card base. I finished the card by adding the secondary sentiment with black ink and then I added some clear sequins and silver Stickles.

Don't forget to head over to the MFT blog for more information on this months kit and for more card ideas from the design team. I can't wait to see what everyone creates! :)

My Favorite Things Sketchy Flowers Card Kit Countdown

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things May card kit countdown. This months card kit is called Sketchy Flowers and it includes two stamp sets, 2 Die-namics sets, card stock and coordinating colour envelopes.

For my card today I used the large 'You' stamp from the All About You stamp set included in the kit and heat embossed it on a panel of watercolor paper.

Once I had it completely heat embossed with white embossing power, I used my Prima watercolours to add colour to the card front. I used a mix of aqua, pink, green and purple to create my colourful watercolour panel.

I let it completely dry and then I diecut it using the large stitched rectangle in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. I added a black cardstock mat behind it and then adhered the entire panel to a Wild Wisteria card base.

I stamped the secondary sentiment onto a strip of watercolour card stock with Black Licorice Dye ink and then I adhered it over the word 'you' using foam adhesive for some added dimension.

I finished the card by adding some Aquamarine sequins scattered around the sentiment with a bit of silver Stickles added to the centers.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas using this months kit! Thanks so much for stopping by today. ;)

My Favorite Things May Card Kit | Sketchy Flowers

Hello! Welcome to the countdown for the May card kit from MFT Stamps called Sketchy Flowers. This months kit is a lot of fun and includes 2 stamp set (1 floral and 1 sentiment) and two dies sets that coordinate with the stamps.

For my cards today I decided to use just the sentiment stamps and dies to create a trio of rainbow cards.

I created a rainbow panel by cutting the card stock that comes in the kit into strips of various sizes and then I adhered them all onto a card stock panel so I could diecut from it.

You can see how I created these cards from start to finish in this weeks episode of MFTv on the My Favorite Things YouTube channel (linked in my blog sidebar).

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see some really great card examples created by the design team and a closer look at this months kit! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for more countdown fun!

My Favorite Things Release Replay | May 2017

Hello and welcome to the Release Replay post for the May 2017 release from My Favorite Things. We're creating more cards and projects today using the products that were released last week as part of the May release.

For my card, I decided to use the new Square Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics along with the new Square Shaker Pouches to create a shaker aquarium on my card.

I first cut the square shape from my white cardstock panel and then I used an ink blending tool and Peacock Feathers Distress ink to add blue to the panel to look like water. I also added the same ink to another panel and stamped some seaweed from the Exquisite Ocean and Mermazing stamp sets for the inside of the shaker.

I stamped a turtle and a fish from the Mermazing stamp set as well, coloured them and cut them out with my scissors. I glued them onto the background panel so they would remain still in the shaker card.

I added a square shaker into the top panel and then I added a few clear sequins before adhering the two panels together. I love how it looks like an aquarium in the middle of the card. I stamped the sentiment directly under the shaker square and I adhered the finished panel to a Grout Gray card base.

You can see more ideas from the design team using the newest release over on the MFT Stamps blog.

My Favorite Things New Product Launch | May 2017

Hello and welcome to the New Product Launch for the May 2017 release from My Favorite Things. We've been sharing projects and cards all week featuring the new products and everything is now available in the MFT Stamps online store! Yay!! ;)

For my card tonight, I'm featuring the new Stitched Oval Word Windows Die-namics along with the Exquisite Ocean and More Essential Sentiments stamp sets. I love how perfectly the sentiments fit within the oval windows.

I first diecut three of the medium Oval Word Windows from the center of a white cardstock panel and then I stamped some of the greenery and flowers from the Exquisite Ocean stamp set all around the window openings.

Once I had all of the stamping done, I added some detail to the leaves and flowers with a white gel pen and I positioned it over another panel so I could stamp the sentiments in the openings.

I stamped the sentiments onto the second panel through the openings and then I added the top panel to the bottom one with foam adhesive for some added dimension. Once it was adhered, I added the entire piece to a top folding Grout Gray card base.

Make sure to head over to the MFT Stamps blog for more fun ideas using the new products and for a chance to win some prizes!

Happy Shopping!! ;)
