Sending Birthday Wishes Card Kit Release!

Hello and welcome back! The newest MFT card kit, Sending Birthday Wishes, is now available in the MFT online store here. This month's kit is all about birthdays, celebrations and little notes. ;)

For my card tonight I used the Mini Mail Die-namics from the card kit and cut out a grouping of 4 vellum envelopes to adhere to my card front. I love that the vellum is translucent and allows you to see through it.

For three of the envelopes, I folded them up, added a little notecard cut from various patterned papers in the kit, and then I sealed them closed with a little liquid glue. I then diecut a heart from card stock in the same colour palette as the patterned paper and adhered that on the envelope flap.

For the 4th envelope, I used the pink polka dot patterned paper and diecut a liner to add inside. I then diecut a white notecard, stamped on it and put in into the envelope. I left this envelope unsealed so the liner was visible and the message on the inside would show through.

Don't forget that this months kit is available now until it sells out. You can see more ideas using this months kit from the design team on the MFT blog.

My Favorite Things June Card Kit Countdown - Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the countdown to the newest MFT card kit, Sending Birthday Wishes. I love the kit this month and all the fun things you can do with it. While it's geared toward birthday cards, the little envelope die can by used for a variety of occasions.

For my card today, I used the kit contents to create a pretty simple card design that keeps the focus on the little envelope that I created.

I diecut the envelope from Limelight cardstock and cut a liner for the inside from one of the rainbow striped paper that comes in the paper pad. I added a little note to the inside cut from white card stock and added a little green heart to it to match the envelope.

I finished the card by adding some additional green hearts above and below the envelope and I stamped the sentiment under the envelope with Black Licorice Dye ink. I love the bold sentiment and really wanted it to stand out on the card.

This kit will officially be available at MFT Stamps at 9pm EST tonight. I'll see you then for the release with another card to share! :)

My Favorite Things June New Product Launch

Hello and welcome back! Tonight I have another card to share for the My Favorite Things June release. All of the new products we've been sharing all week are officially available now in the MFT online store!! Yay!!

For my card tonight I used the new Interactive Labels stamp set along with the new Big Thanks Die-namics (this month's Free with $60) to create a fun interactive card featuring a pirate from the Party Like a Pirate stamp set.

I created a scallop edge in the middle of an inked up card stock panel and then I used a craft knife to cut along the perforations so I could tuck the little pirate diecut inside. I made sure not to add adhesive under the middle of the panel below the scallops so the pirate could slide in and out easily.

I die cut the Big Thanks from Steel Grey card stock and adhered the letters directly below the scallop edge, leaving enough room for the secondary sentiment from the Party Like a Pirate stamp set. I stamped that part of the sentiment in Cement Gray ink so it was visible but didn't overpower the word thanks.

I finished the card by stamping some birds in the sky area with the same Cement Gray ink and I stamped the word Pull (from the new Interactive Labels stamp set) just above the scallop edge beside the pirate.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas using the new June release products and for a chance to win the giveaways!!
